Valerie Marie Zynda

Valerie Marie Zynda, age 53, passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2018 in Grosse Pointe. Valerie was born July 24, 1964 in Detroit to Raymond and Ruth. Valerie earned her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Michigan in Microbiology. She was meticulous and often regarded as a perfectionist. Valerie had read the bible from front to back. She worked at DIFCO Medical Laboratory in Detroit. Valerie had a passion for family life and nostalgia. She enjoyed reading, jogging, gardening, and working crossword puzzles. She was dedicated and loving. Her strength of spirit will be missed. Valarie was a joy to be around. She was a loving, appreciative, giving, faithful servant of God. She was unmoving in always upholding her genuine Christian values no matter what the circumstance. Valerie remained vigilant in correcting when she felt family members veer off the catholic faith path. After battling extreme difficulties with her physical health she kept and grew with her faith in God. Valerie would always add a bible verse in her own handwriting to every letter or card that she sent and she would often quote the scripture. She diligently followed the life of the Blessed Solanus Casey and his miracles of healing. Beloved daughter of Raymond and the late Ruth. Dear sister of David. Loving aunt of Emily and Jacob. Visitation Friday from 3:30-9 PM at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave. at Vernier Road, Grosse Pointe Woods, 48236 with a scripture service 7 PM. In state Saturday 11:30 AM until funeral Mass 12:00 Noon at Our Lady Star of the Sea. 467 Fairford Rd., Grosse Pointe Woods, 48236. Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township.
