

Virginia Curran, age 92, passed away on March 19, 2017. She was born on May 18, 1924, in Detroit, MI, to Morris and Germain Revyn, who immigrated to the United States from Ghent, Belgium. Beloved wife of the late Hugh (Ken) Curran and Bruno Lagosz. Mother of Thomas (Nancy) Curran and Judy (Christ) Petrouleas. Grandmother to Toby (Rhonda) and Justin. Great Grandmother to Kiera and Griffin. Sister of the late Norbert Revyn. Sister-in-law of Patricia Blackburn. Aunt of John Revyn and Janet Thompson. Survived by her step family, Shirley, Walter, and Philip Adamczk. Virginia loved music and ballroom dancing. Among her hobbies were flower and vegetable gardening, shopping, travelling (especially cruises), knitting, reading, sewing, decoupage, stained glass, and bowling. She was a 1943 graduate of Denby High School, a member of St. Lucy's Altar Society for many years, and a gift wrapper at J.L. Hudsons during the holidays. She spent many winters in Sun City Center, Florida. She was a great cook. Her specialties were stir fries and baking Belgian lukken (cookies). Most of all, she was a great wife, mom, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. Mrs. Curran will lie instate on Wednesday from 9:00 am until the time of the Mass of the Resurrection at 10:00 am at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 21620 Greater Mack, St. Clair Shores.
