Virginia I. Gilbert, age 90, died October 4, 2012 at Sunrise Assisted Living, Shelby Township, Michigan. She was born October 1, 1922 in Lake City, Arkansas to the late Thomas and Bessie Hood. She is survived by her beloved husband Cecil D., Dearest mother of Gail Gilbert and Kevin Gilbert. Loving grandmother of Michelle (Thomas, Sr.) Richmond and the late James Gilbert Dortch and great-grandmother to Brian Dortch, Jessica Richmond and Thomas Richmond, Jr. Dear sister of Betty Lois Sutfin. Visitation Monday and Tuesday 2PM-9PM with a funeral service Tuesday evening at 7PM at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Rd. Warren. Burial Wednesday 1PM at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan.
