Virginia Sophia Murdock

Virginia Sophia Murdock, age 83, died February 14, 2014 at Medilodge- Sterling Nursing Home, with her loving family by her side. She was born February 17, 1930 in Detroit to the late John and Sophia (Latka) Murdock. Virginia was a traveling supervisor for the F.W. Woolworth Company. She loved all sports especially the Detroit Tigers and the Detroit Red Wings. She was a very loving aunt always putting family before herself. Dearest sister of John (Barbara) Murdock, Barbara Peplinski and the late Richard Murdock and Dorothy Michalczyk. Loving aunt of Michelle (David) Warwinsky, Kimberly (Christopher) Costa, Pamela (Dan) Fox, Michael Peplinski, Kathy (Kevin) Ronan, Cindy (Ken) Smith, Chuck Murdock, Robert Murdock, Timothy Murdock and great-aunt to Joshua and Jacob Warwinsky, Andrew Pashakarnis, Michael Fox, Karlie Peplinski, Conner Costa, Paul and Amy Smith and Jacob and Mary Murdock. Visitation Monday 2pm-9pm with a Rosary at 7pm at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Rd. (at Masonic), Warren. In state Tuesday 9am with Mass 9:30 am at St. Martin DePorres Catholic Church, 31555 Hoover, Warren. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township, Michigan.
