Walter Lamont Madison

Walter L. Madison, Sr. passed away at McLaren Macomb Hospital on April 11, 2018 with his family at his side. He was born in Detroit on November 20, 1946. He was a 1964 graduate of Western High School. Walter married Juliette, the love of his life in 1965 and together they shared 49 years of happiness until her death in 2012. Walter retired as a machinist from Chrysler Corporation as a member of UAW Local #51 in 1999 after 35 years of loyal service. He enjoyed contemplating while sitting in his car under shady trees. He found it restful to be by the water and the shores of lakes. He liked to listen to music and relished the best of foods. Walter was the dear father of Yulonda Madison (Omar Crumsey), Walter Madison, Jr. (Angela), Andre Madison (Tammy), Jonette Stewart (Arthur A. Young), and Carrie Pearson (Dwight). He was the loving grandfather of eight. He was predeceased by his wife Juliette. Funeral service Wednesday 10 am at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Avenue, Grosse Pointe Woods. Pastor Gwendolyn Marie Strickland will be officiating. Interment will take place at Lincoln Memorial Park, Clinton Township. Visitation Tuesday 2-9 pm at the funeral home.
