Sad to hear of his passing.He was a good teacher and a very patient man. Thank you for the games of ring toss and putting up with me in 5th grade.

I just found out about Mr. Bedard's passing. I was in his fifth grade class at Violet many years ago and have great memories of him....and his bow ties every day. He was a wonderful teacher and great role model for so many students through the years. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family during this sad time.

I taught with Bill at Violet School many years ago. He was always such a gentleman and made a wonderful impression on his students. My sincere condolences to the family. May his soul rest in peace.

Mr. Bedard was my fifth grade teacher in 1974-75 at Taylor Elementary School in St. Clair Shores. I have thought about him many times over these years. Every few years, I take out the first day covers that I collected from him and think about time he spent with every student who was interested in stamp collecting. My passion for geography and maps started in his class and I loved his sense of humor. I still remember when somebody in class was unhappy about an assignment or maybe broke a classroom rule, he would say, "If you don't like it... there's the door." I am sorry I missed the chance to thank him personally for shaping me into the person I am today. My condolences to the family. Rest in Peace.

Dear Shirl, We were deeply saddened to learn about Bill. He excelled in all that he did and was a very special friend for over forty-five years. Mary Ann and I thank you and Bill for all the wonderful memories the two of you have created for us. You and Bill will always be in our thought and prayers.

I was sad to hear of Mr. Bedard's passing. I was fortunate to have him as my fifth grade teacher at Violet Elementary many years ago and I remember him fondly. He will always remain one of my favorite teachers.

While I didn't have Mr. Bedard as my fifth grade teacher at Taylor Elementary, I have always remembered his zest for life and his love of stamp collecting. Even though I never took up the hobby, friends of mine who had him did and I would find myself looking for stamps for them. To this day, 40 plus years later, I still look at a stamp on a letter that is different than the standard and my mind always flashes back to thinking that Mr. Bedard would probably love to have this stamp. He was a huge part of Taylor back in those days and he left his mark upon many people's hearts. Rest well Mr. Bedard, you made a difference for countless people. My condolences to his family and friends.

Losing a loved one is an extremely painful time. Although I didn't know Mr. Bedard personally, I recently loss a loved one and I send my deepest sympathy to the Bedard family. The Bible says of the Almighty: "He is a God, not of the dead, but the living, for they are all living to him." -Luke 20:38.

Deepest sympathy and prays. I will always remember him as my uncle and a wonderful caring person. My prayers to the family, you will be in my thoughts!!

Dear Aunt Shirley, I just found out about Uncle Bill. I can't believe he's really gone. I have so many fond memories of him, visiting at your house downstate and spending time with you in Republic as well as up here with mom and dad. I will always remember his wonderful whistling and how he always sang "Miss America" to me every time I came in the room. Uncle Bill will be truly missed by all he has touched in his life. I am so glad I had the chance to visit with the two of you a couple years ago when I came to Detroit. Our prayers are with you, Francine and the grand kids during this time. Dear grieving family, My wife and I are very sorry for your tremendous loss and would like to express our condolences to the family. We cannot imagine the great pain and sorrow you are experiencing during this most difficult time. When we lose someone we love so dearly we are left with a very strong desire to see that person again. It's wonderful to know that God has promised we will see our loved ones who have fallen asleep in death. John chapter 5 verses 28 and 29 gives this wonderful reassurance: "Do not marvel at this because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life." What a marvelous hope! Once again we wish to express our condolences to the family. And although we cannot erase the pain and sorrow you are experiencing, it is our hope that this can give you a small measure of comfort.
