

William "Buddy" Lee Sr., age 90 of St. Clair Shores, passed away May 22, 2016. He was born in Delbarton, West Virginia on July 26, 1925; the son of William A. and Jennie Lee (nee Dean) Scott. Buddy honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy as a Coxswain during World War II. He was responsible for piloting Landing Crafts. He was destined to Omaha Beach, Normandy, until the fateful day that he suffered a gun shot wound to his foot and was instead, set leave for recovery. Following his service, he worked several different skilled positions before settling in as a Utility Man at General Motors for 25 years until retirement in 1987. Among many cherished attributes, he will be remembered as a kind-hearted, southern gentleman who was extremely family oriented. Beloved husband of Ruth for 68 years. Loving father of William Lee Jr. (Cathy) and Leonard Eugene (Debbie). Treasured grandfather of Eric, Nicole, Kelly, Julie (Jason) Bennett, Jacqueline and Stephanie (George Jr.) Boussie. Proud great-grandfather of Jackson Lawson, Noah Maniaci, Becca and Tyler Boussie and Brooklyn and Blake Bennett. Dear brother of the late Joe, Bonnie, Madelyn, Leo, Ethel, Dolores, Ruthann and Imogene. He is also survived by many caring nieces and nephews. Buddy's family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr at Masonic (13-1/2 Mile), Warren. Instate Thursday 11 a.m. until time of service 11:30 a.m. at Tabernacle Christian Church (formerly Evangel Temple Church of God), 14025 E. Twelve Mile, Warren. Bishop CJ Andre to officiate. Eulogy by Bishop Timothy Teeague. Interment to immediately follow at Cadillac Memorial Garden's East Cemetery in Clinton Township.
