

Bobby Anderson Dodson Jr, of Grove City, OH, born May 20, 1958, passed away on March 6, 2025. A graduate of Franklin Heights High School in 1976. Bobby grew up with a love for boxing, animals, and motorcycles. He was a two-time Golden Gloves winner who always emphasized never quitting. He fought to the bitter end. He was a wonderful teddy bear of a man who was always willing to help wherever he could. He made an impact on every life he touched from the local Waffle House staff all the way to Washington DC as the President of the Ohio Gamefowl Breeders Association for eight consecutive years. Bobby retired as a truck driver in 2023 after decades of being on the road. We will never forget his infectious laugh, words of wisdom, or the roar of his Harley pulling into your driveway that brought with him a helping hand or listening ear. Bobby was simply a wonderful man, a one of a kind that is simply irreplaceable, his death has left a hole in the world that can never be filled. Bobby was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Anderson Dodson Sr., his mother Alice Koontz, stepfather, Ted Koontz, brother, Mark Koontz and Timothy Dodson. He is survived by his wife, Amy Dodson, son, Blaine, his wife, Sarah, two grandchildren, Emmalinn and Ben, his brothers, Pat (Bonnie), Glen (Cathy), Ronnie (Evelyn), Phillip (Leigh) Ricky (Janice), and sister, Pam, plus many nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, from 4-7 pm at SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY 4242 Hoover Rd. His funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at 10 am at the funeral home. Interment will be at Concord Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Bobby’s name to either St. Jude’s Hospital or the Shriner’s Hospital.
