Cheryl A. Ellis

Cheryl Ann Ellis, age 79 of Grove City passed away at home Wednesday, July 19, 2023. Cheryl was born in McArthur, Ohio to the late Charles A. and Dolly V. (née Riffle) Collins. She retired from the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles after 30 years of dedicated service. Cheryl loved traveling to Arizona for the winter, playing cards, planning road trips and going out to eat. She enjoyed an occasional margarita and a good piece of key lime pie. She was a lifelong Cincinnati Reds fan. She was knowledgeable about history and government, enjoyed watching Jeopardy, and had a wonderful sense of humor. And then there is Tom Selleck, Cheryl loved-loved-loved Tom Selleck. Above all these things, Cheryl loved her family and spending time with them. She loved her family unconditionally and was always there to care and support them. In addition to her parents, Cheryl is preceded in death by her brother Steve Collins; and grandson Christopher Ellis. Cheryl is survived by her loving husband of nearly 60 years, Owen; children Chris (Tara) Ellis, Mike (Terry) Ellis, Tracy (Karen) Ellis, and Pete (Val) Ellis; grandchildren Ryan, Kristina, Cody, Tyler, Jennifer, Jordan, Justin, Julia, Matt, Cameron, Chase, Nate, and Kaylee; 12 great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law's Barb, Joyce and Atha as well as several Nieces and Nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held 1 PM Saturday, August 12, 2023 at the Clubhouse at The Willows at Quail Creek 5700 Willow Lake Drive Grove City, OH 43123. Casual dress.
