Connie L. Vogel

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred A. and Louise J. (Roesinger) Gutt; sister, Bobbie Friedrich; and brother-in-law, Pete Strmen.

Connie is survived by her beloved children, Michelle (David) Rankin, Kristy (Andy) Evans, and Ryan (Erin) Hoffman; cherished grandchildren, Tonya Ashcraft, Miranda Lerner, Haley Jobe, Bella Hoffman, Braxton Hoffman, Jaxson Hoffman, and Jaelyn Ziegler; and great-granddaughter. She is also survived by her sister, Joyce Strmen; brother-in-law, Norb Friedrich; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.

Connie dedicated much of her life to caring for others, working with Northwest Eye Surgeons, Hilliard Family Medicine, and later in home health care. Her compassion and warmth touched everyone she met.

She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—cheering for the OSU Buckeyes, tending to her flower and vegetable gardens, relaxing on the Florida beaches, boating, and enjoying fun in the sun with a cocktail in hand. Connie also loved to bake and cook, and her homemade spaghetti sauce with meatballs was a family favorite.

A celebration of Connie’s life will be held in the spring of 2026, when family and friends will gather to honor her memory and the love she shared with all who knew her.
