David A. Colborn

David Anthony Colborn, age 92, of Orient, Ohio passed away on July 7, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 17, 1932 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Harold Colborn and Mabel (Pope) Potts. David is preceded in death by his parents; siblings Jim Potts, Barbara Fessenden and Bill Potts as well as his daughter in law Tracy Colborn. He leaves behind his loving wife of 64 years, Carolyn (Decker) Colborn; children David C. Colborn, Stephen (Valerie) Colborn, John (Rhonda) Colborn, Jeffrey (Susan) Colborn, Beth (Steve) Ormsby, Amy Colborn, and Kevin (Angie) Colborn; 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Also surviving is sister Donna Seelman, sister in law Linda Pohle and many nieces and nephews. He was a graduate of East High School and Franklin University. David was a longtime member of Hoge Memorial Presbyterian Church in Columbus, Ohio. He was also a proud member of Westgate Masonic Lodge, enjoyed gardening and working in his orchard. He worked for 38 years for Channel 10/WBNS TV here in Columbus. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 18, 2025 at Schoedinger Grove City, 4242 Hoover Rd. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Hoge Memorial Presbyterian Church, 2930 W Broad St, Columbus, OH 43204. Family will greet guests one hour prior to the funeral service. Following the service, Interment will take place at Grove City Cemetery – West.
