

Donald Ray Belcher, age 85, passed away Monday, July 28, 2025. He was born on May 31, 1940, in Emmett, West Virginia, to the late John and Vernie (Harris) Belcher. He proudly served his country as a medic in the United States Army National Guard. Following his service, he built a successful career in transportation and went on to own and operate his own business, Belcher Trucking. Don was a dedicated provider and a man deeply committed to the well-being of others. He was a car enthusiast and was particularly passionate about Corvettes. He also enjoyed spending time watching Western movies—especially those starring Clint Eastwood—and listening to the timeless music of Elvis Presley. Don will be remembered for his kind heart, generous nature and unwavering willingness to help anyone in need. He was selfless, giving and always put others before himself. He will be deeply missed. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Dennis and Charles, and his granddaughter, Bethany.
Don is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Shirley; Daddy to Susan Dawn (Bryan) Stoney; Grandaddy to Taylor Rapier, Haley (Kyle) Anderson, Morgan (Nathan) Moore, Avery (Nick) Torr and Great-Grandaddy to Lilah, Bentley, Bristol, Garren, Grant, Leo and Walker.
