I am so sorry to see that Eileen has passed away. She sure lived a great life and was always busy enjoying her talent of gardening and making beautiful and unique crafts. Eileen and Doc were like family to me. I spent twenty years spending nearly every day with them. I’ll never forget their kindness. Thinking of all you boys and your families. 🙏🏻😢❤️

I am sorry for our loss.  It's always tough to lose a parent.  Losing the last one  has a kind of finality to it.  I hope she went peacefully.

My sincere condolences to the family at the loss of this sweet lady I remember from many years ago.  Bill was a cousin of my father's and our dentist the entire time I was growing up and for my folks for many years after.   I recall meeting Eileen several times during those years and she was always smiling and so friendly.   She will no doubt be greatly missed.    God bless you all.

I’m sorry to learn of your moms passing. As a young girl, Eileen was the first worldly woman who was also my friend. I loved her like a mom and looked up to her as a mentor. She influenced my interests in art & nature and always greeted me with a long and enthusiastic hug. As I reflect upon Eileen’s influence in my life, I recall that she took me to my first arts festival the summer before 8th grade. Eileen consistently supported professional artists and gave people original art as a gift. She made her own Christmas cards (for several years); taught me to macramé; convinced me to give Sorority Rush a try; and taught me that a bath towel can be used more than once. 

Eileen planted a bed full of white flowers and called it a “moon” garden because it was visible at night under the moonlight. Most memorable is the thrill Eileen expressed every fall at the sight of first snow -OU-OU- I have uttered this aloud for decades and always think of your mom when flurries begin. 

May you and your families bask in the love of family and friends at this time of grief and loss. Know that you are not alone.

Eileen was a great woman, mentor, and dear friend of my mother Helena. Tiney and Bill  also we’re very good friends and our family’s had the opportunity to enjoy some good times together. One of my fondest memories on childhood was when it snowed! When it snowed, no matter what time it was, when there was enough to sled we headed to the Montoney’s. They even had spot lights to eliminate the run, and Eileen would have hot coco for us to warm up with. 

There are countless more memories we had together. 

The Montoney’s and the McComb’s will always enjoy a special bond.
