Grace L Parrett

Grace L. Parrett age 82 of Columbus, went to her heavenly home Monday, March 6, 2023. Grace was born October 23, 1940 in Akron, OH to the late Urban and Mae (née Yingling) Oaks. She moved to Grove City OH in 1973 and resided in Columbus OH since 1996. She retired from Medco and later was employed by Citi Group where she retired in 2011. She was a member of the Westgate Baptist Church. Grace enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved family gatherings. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by sisters Stella Lenihan, Gladys Howe, and Cordelia Sehika; brothers Leonard, Lawrence, Leslie, and Leroy Oaks, all of Akron. Grace is survived by her husband of 39 years John W. Parrett; daughter Dana (Chuck) Warrix of Richwood, OH; grandson Charles B. (Denise) Warrix III of Cortland OH; granddaughter Amanda Goldsmith and Barry Alspach of Prospect OH; sister Doris Ralston of Munro Falls, OH; step-sons Tim (Beth) Parrett and Todd (Jenny) Parrett; step-daughters Lori (Orville) Harris and Theresa Brown; many great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren, and step-great- grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Grace’s family will receive friends 11- 1 PM Wednesday, March 15 at Schoedinger Grove City 4242 Hoover RD (HOOVER RD at KINGSTON AVE) where her funeral service will follow at 1 PM. Pastor Mort Adams officiating. Interment to follow at Green Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Grace’s memory to the Arthritis Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
