Harold Lee Temple “Shorty”, 92, of 1015 Spruce Drive, Springfield, Ohio passed away Sunday, March 29, 2026. He was born June 16, 1933 in East Liverpool, Ohio to the late Edward and Elda (King) Temple.
Harold proudly served in the U.S. Airborne from 1951-1971. He served in Korea as an air traffic controller, Vietnam as an aircraft cargo specialist, and after retirement from the Air Force, he worked for the State of Ohio.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Helen (Graf); daughter, Diana Hobbs; son, Robert Temple; and brothers, Norman and Earl Temple.
Harold is survived by grandson, Timothy McCarty: great-grandson, Riley McCarty; son-in-law, Chuck Hobbs; niece, Kathy Belieu; good friends, Faye Graham and Rena and Joe Whittemore; and many other friends.
Visitation will be held 3:30-4:30 p.m. Friday, April 3, 2026 at SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY, 4242 Hoover Rd., Grove City. Funeral service with military honors will follow at 4:30 p.m.
