John H. Ebersole

September 1, 1932 – September 5, 2025

John H. Ebersole, age 93, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 5, 2025.

A proud graduate of Huntington High School, John went on to serve his country with honor in the United States Air Force, dedicating over 20 years before retiring. Following his military service, he continued his education, earning an Associate’s Degree from CTI and a Bachelor's Degree from Urbana University.

John lived life to the fullest and found joy in the simple pleasures—listening to bluegrass music, enjoying a good glass of wine, cheering on the Grove City High School Girls Softball team, and watching college basketball. He was a lifelong supporter of veterans and a Life Member of the Chillicothe American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Horace and Eloise (McDonald) Ebersole, and his sister, Susan (Donald) Patrick.

John is survived by his brother, Roy Ebersole; nieces and nephews: Jeanne (Butch) Masters, Sandy (Donald) Manning, John Ebersole, Lynn (Rick) Miller, Crystal (Donald) Duckett, and Danny (Vickie) Patrick; as well as several great-nieces, great-nephews, and many cherished friends.

A celebration of John's life will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2025, with visitation from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Schoedinger Grove City, 4242 Hoover Rd., Grove City, OH 43123.
