John Richard Fisher

John Richard Fisher, age 84 of Columbus, passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2021. John was born in Columbus, the son of the late Charles and Anna Jane Meddles. Following his graduation from West High School, John enlisted and proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. John was the owner of Fisher Plumbing. He was an avid hunter and Sportsman. In addition to hunting deer and other Ohio game, John went on Moose and Lion expeditions as well. In his later years he took up fishing and was as equally skilled as an excellent fisherman. In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by several siblings. He is survived by his wife, Charlene Fisher; daughters Christy (Greg) Walker and Shanna Fisher; 3 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and sister Betty Hamilton. John's family will receive friends 11-1 PM Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Schoedinger Grove City 3920 Broadway where his funeral service will follow at 1 PM. John's family respectful asks everyone attending events to wear a mask. Interment with U.S. Navy honors will follow at Alton Cemetery.
