

Joseph Robert Palumbo, 56, passed away peacefully, surrounded by the people that he loved the most, on Saturday, June 14, 2025. He was born September 10, 1968 in Columbus, Ohio. He was a proud family man, loyal friend, and hardworking craftsman. His life was defined by love, dedication, and quiet strength.
Joe was a devoted husband, caring son, trusting brother, and loving father and grandfather who found his greatest joy in his family and grandchildren.
He was a member of the Local 200 Carpenters Union for over 30 years, where he took immense pride in his work in the trade. He most recently worked for Fazio Mechanical where he found his home. They treated him like family. Joe enjoyed the relationships he formed, thrived with the external clients, and took pride in resolving their issues.
A lifelong fan of the Cleveland Browns, Joe never missed a game—win or lose, his loyalty never wavered. He also enjoyed his hobby of trains which brought him much happiness. He was so proud of his train layouts in the flowerbed and his basement.
Joe was preceded in death by his father, John Palumbo. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Lorie Palumbo; daughter, Brooke (Riley) Mills; son, Joseph (Maddey) Palumbo; grandchildren, Everleigh, Weston, and Patience; beloved mother, Rose Palumbo; brother, Johnny (Shelly) Palumbo; sisters-in-law, Deb (Chris) Buskirk and Ashley Karst; brother-in-law, Bobby (Mollie) Keeney; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A celebration of Joe’s life will be held on Monday, June 23, 2025 at Schoedinger Grove City, 4242 Hoover Rd., Grove City, Ohio 43123. Memorial service will start at 5:00 p.m. and visitation will follow until 8:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to come share stories, memories, and honor the man who meant so much to so many.
