A proud graduate of West High School in Columbus, class of 1967, Karen dedicated her life to her family and community. After raising her children, she began a 30-year career with the Columbus Police Department, spending the last decade in the homicide unit as a dedicated secretary. Following her retirement, she also served as the church secretary at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she was an active member of the Altar Guild and Elizabeth’s Circle.
Karen had a passion for crocheting, sewing, and painting, where she created gifts that brought joy to those around her. She also cherished her travels, especially to Myrtle Beach where she enjoyed sitting on the balcony with her family and beloved dog. Above all, her greatest love was for her family and friends. She will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by all who knew her.
