Lois Ann Jewell

Lois Ann (Reeves) Jewell age 92, a native of Columbus passed away Friday, August 23, 2024 in Pickerington, Ohio. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, George W. Jewell. She is survived by her daughter Georgiana (James) Roberts of Pickerington; son Jeff (Marilee) Jewell of Hilliard; four grandchildren, Jamie Schmittauer of Groveport, Jillian (Ryan) McGuire of Upper Arlington, Madison Jewell of West Jefferson, and Jeffrey Jewell of Broadway, Ohio; great-granddaughter Josephine Jewell of Broadway, Ohio; sisters Dottie (Larry) Knight of Heath, and Barbara Tillett of Tarpon Springs, Florida, sisters-in-law Irene Burritt of McArthur, Ohio, Sue Reeves of S. Vienna, Ohio, and Susan Reeves of Grove City, Ohio; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was born January 31, 1932 in Columbus, Ohio to the late James and Maudie (Leming) Reeves. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Jewell was preceded in death by five brothers; James, Alan, Larry, Donald, and Gene; and six sisters; Judy, Ann, Gloria, Ruth, Roberta, and Bonnie.

Mrs. Jewell was retired from Lazarus/Macys, and a member of the Hilltop Church of God in Columbus. She was an avid gardener who loved working in her yard, attending church, and spending time with her family.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, from 10:30am-12:30 pm at Schoedinger Grove City, 4242 Hoover Road, followed by a funeral service with Pastors George Jordan and Steve Anthony officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hilltop Church of God, 635 Whitethorn Avenue, Columbus Ohio 43223. Interment will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery, Columbus Ohio.
