Magdalene (Maggie) Lindau Anderson, age 70, passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at home with her husband and daughter at her side. She is preceded in death by her parents, Eric and Hilda (Paulus) Lindau.
On August 14, 1979 she married Donald Anderson who survives. Also surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Sherise (Neal) Thompson, and grandson, Blake Thompson.
Her brother, Bodo (Ingrid) Lindau, very close niece, Isabella Lindau, and nephew, Maximillion Lindau. Her Brother and sister in laws: Marsha “Mac” (Charles) Dixon, Charles “Joe” (Alejandrina) Anderson, Charlene ‘Char’ (Charles) Shepard, and James Anderson. All her loved nieces and nephews Charlie, Amber and Philip Dixon, Chaz, Reese, and Jasmine Anderson, Meca Seward, Sharell Anderson, Jailyn Mack, James (deceased) and Maxwell Anderson, Along with her life long dear friend Ellen Dietrich along with many other friends.
After high school she went on to receive a degree as a Physicans Assistant. She was a diehard Cleveland Browns fan and current season ticket holder for many years. Maggie also liked to knit and crochet, read mystery novels, complete puzzles, and listen to Motown, and 70’s music. Her grandson was the apple of her eye and she loved teaching him German. They had a special bond and she lit up whenever he entered the room. She was his caretaker during the week when her daughter and son in law worked and she looked forward to being with him.
A visitation will be held on Friday, September 30, 2022 from 5-8 pm at SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY 4242 Hoover Rd. (Hoover Rd. and Kingston Ave.) where a funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 1 pm with Elder Charles Cooper officiating. There will be a link provided day of on this website for those unable to attend to stream the service. A reception will be immediately following the funeral at Sherise’s home where all are welcome. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Per Maggie’s wishes she will be cremated and buried at a later date during an intimate family gathering.
