

She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and kindness that will be cherished by all who knew her. She had a remarkable way of turning ordinary moments into meaningful memories.
Marcie was a woman of warmth and quiet resilience. She made others feel seen, heard, and valued—whether through a simple conversation or a heartfelt gesture. Her presence brought comfort, her laughter brought light, and her love knew no bounds.
As a proud transgender woman, Marcie devoted her life to uplifting and advocating for her community. She lived authentically and fearlessly, inspiring others to do the same.
She had a deep passion for volunteering and generously gave her time to causes close to her heart. In all her activities, she brought enthusiasm, humor, and compassion.
As a daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, Marcie loved deeply and gave selflessly. Her unwavering support and kindness created lasting bonds that will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
She is survived by her sister, Kimberly Rangel, and her nieces, Meghan and Michaela Rangel, who will forever hold her memory close. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carolyn Smink and William Smink.
Though she is no longer with us in body, Marcie’s spirit will remain in every life she touched. Her love, strength, and kindness will never be forgotten.
Visitation will be held on April 29, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Schoedinger Norris Grove City, 4242 Hoover Road, Grove City, Ohio.
The funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m. at the same location, with interment immediately following at Grove City Cemetery West, 4501 Grove City Road, Grove City, Ohio.
Following the interment, family and friends are invited to return to the funeral home for a reception from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm to continue celebrating Marcie’s life.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Columbus Cancer Clinic in honor of Marcie’s compassionate spirit.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
