

Michael Alexander "Mikey" Holcomb, age 70, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at his residence with his wife by his side. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Dorothy Holcomb, and his brother, Bill Holcomb. Mikey is survived by his high school sweetheart and loving wife of 54 years, Shelia Holcomb, his best buddy, Aliyah Bussey, sister Sharon (Allen) Lloyd, several nieces and nephews, and caring friends.
Mikey led a rich and fulfilling life. He was a retired independent mail courier and a talented house painter. His passions included his frequent pilgrimages to Graceland, having visited the iconic home of Elvis Presley over 30 times, as well as Tupelo, Elvis' birthplace. Mikey had an unwavering love for gospel music, cherished his feline companions, adored snowy days, celebrated Christmas with gusto, and found solace in rainy weather. He possessed a sharp sense of humor and quick wit. His final message to friends and family who knew him well was, “Return to sender! I told you I was sick!” He also enjoyed tinkering around the house and reminiscing about his days playing basketball in his youth.
Mikey's pure heart was evident to all who knew him. He was known for his forgiving nature, generosity, and kindness. He relished early mornings, finding joy in watching the sunrise over the horizon.
A celebration of Mikey's life will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at 12 pm at SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY 4242 Hoover Rd. Pastor Roger Grace officiating. A time of visitation from 11-12 pm. Interment will take place at Concord Cemetery In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Mikey's memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him, and he will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of calling him friend or family.
