

Morris was preceded in death by his wife Mary Frances (Young) Fisher, his parents, his brother and sister-in-law, Wayne Fisher and Shirley (Meloy) Fisher, his son Mark H. Fisher, and his granddaughter, Grace A. Back. He is survived by his children Greg Fisher (Dawn Spangler), Nancy K. Brown, Christina R. Fisher, and Jeffrey E. Fisher, as well as his nephew David Fisher, nieces Julie Fisher, Brenda (Fisher) Varner, and Marsha (Fisher) and Thom Watters. He also leaves behind grandchildren Nicholas (Sarah) Pizzurro, Robert P. Coulter (Jessica L. Lyttle), Justin A. Cotton (Emily N. Evans), Garrison R. Brown, and Mark A. Brown, and great-grandchildren Sienna R. Coulter, Payden B. Coulter, Anthony Salvatore Pizzurro, and Everleigh K. Coulter, and former daughters-in-law Marilyn Humphrey and Kayla Rose New, and a dear family friend Patricia Traxler.
Morris was married for 69 years and dedicated 36 years of his life to service at the Ohio Bell Telephone Company in Columbus switching offices. While serving on Heartbreak Ridge, in the Korean War, he taught himself to play the harmonica.
Morris found joy in sharing his love of music with his family and others. In his youth, Morris played trumpet in the Grove City High School Marching Band. As an adult, he was actively involved in various choirs, including the Ohio Bell Chorus, Trinity Assembly of God Choir, and Vaud-Villities. In his later years, he found fulfillment in playing with The Buckeye State Harmonica Club.
A faithful member of Trinity Assembly of God, Morris exemplified kindness and generosity throughout his life.
Visitation hours will be from 5-7 PM on Friday, May 31st.
Funeral services will begin at 9 AM, Saturday, June 1st.
Both gatherings of family and friends will be held at Schoedinger Funeral Home – Grove City Chapel, located at 4242 Hoover Road, Columbus, Ohio 43123. The burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery in Galloway, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Morris’ name to the Trinity Assembly of God Outreach Ministry, 1112 Demorest Road, Columbus, Ohio 43204
Morris will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace, his memory cherished forever.
