Richard Scott “Rick” Smith, of Grove City, Ohio passed away peacefully and surrounded by his family on Friday April 3rd, 2026. No words would ever be able to accurately portray who Rick was - who he still is and always will be to the people who love him. Rick lived many lives in forty-eight too short years, as a father, son, brother, grandfather, husband and friend. He lived and loved fiercely and without restraint, spending his entire life on a quest to do and be better for those he loved, and eventually, for himself. In addition to aunts, uncles, cousins and his grandfather, he leaves behind two daughters (Kymberlie & Ryann Smith) and four grandchildren, as well as his mother (Ginger Spencer), father (Calvin Smith), sister (Erin Schuler) and brother (Todd Tedder) who all love him deeply and know he never stopped trying. There will be no formal viewing or funeral service, and the family will announce plans for a separate memorial at a later date.
