Rickey Eugene Morrison

Rickey Eugene Morrison, age 72, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at his residence, with his loving wife of 43 years by his side. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Michelle Morrison, and his parents, Donald and Ruth (Willet) Morrison, brother, Donald R. Morrison Jr. Rickey is survived by his wife, Marsha Morrison; his sisters, Christine (Rick) Crawford and Chrystle (Morris) McCoy; several nieces, nephews, and many dear friends. He earned his Bachelor's Degree from Franklin University and enjoyed a successful career as a Computer Programmer.

Rickey was deeply involved in the wheelchair sports community, serving as President of the Ohio Wheelchair Sports Association for several years and as Vice President of the National Wheelchair Basketball Association for one year. He also proudly coached the Columbus Buckeye Wheelers basketball team for many years, dedicating his time and passion to the sport.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. at Sunset Cemetery, 6959 W. Broad St., Galloway, OH 43119, with Pastor Brandi Blackstone officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Parkinson's Association. A special thank you to Maggie and Andrena from Heartland Hospice for all of their care. Arrangements are being handled by Schoedinger Grove City.
