

Robert Larry Bennett, affectionately known as Larry, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 1, 2025. He was born on January 1, 1941, in Vinton, Ohio.
Larry began his career with Westinghouse before joining John Deere, where he worked for 29 years and retired as Administrator of Estimates and Distribution.
Larry loved working with his hands and had a strong work ethic, which he passed on to his daughters and grandchildren. He built the home he lived in with Connie for much of the years they were married. He found great joy in helping his sons-in-law with their own home projects.
He was deeply devoted to his family and rarely missed a single event involving his grandchildren. Larry was also a NASCAR enthusiast and loyal Ohio State Buckeyes fan. He enjoyed road trips to Wheeling, West Virginia with Connie, where they looked forward to trying their luck at the slot machines. He was also a proud U.S. Army veteran.
He was deeply loved and respected by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Eulalah Bennett and his brother, Arlen Owens.
Larry is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Connie Bennett; daughters, Rene (David) Williams and Kirsten (Rick) Stillings; cherished grandchildren, Grant Williams, Sophia Stillings, and Ella Stillings; siblings, Betty Eberhard, Annabelle Tomlinson, Sue (Ed) Taff, Harry (Martha) Bennett, Earl (Judy) Bennett, and Debbie Skinner; numerous nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.
Family will receive friends at Schoedinger Grove City, 4242 Hoover Rd., Grove City, OH 43123 on Friday, August 8, 2025 from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. A funeral service celebrating Larry’s life will follow at 12:00 p.m. Interment Concord Cemetery.
