

Shad R. Jackson, age 42, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2024, at Doctor’s West Hospital. He was surrounded by love and warmth from his family and caregivers at Goodwill. Shad was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend whose bright spirit touched the lives of many.
He is survived by his loving mother, Melanie L. Jackson, his devoted sister Heather (David) Simon, and brother Matt (Whitney) Jackson. Shad leaves behind cherished nieces and nephews: Kadee Norviel, Joseph Jackson, Tristan Jackson, and Athena Jackson. He will be missed by his father Rick Jackson and the extended Jackson family.
Shad was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Homer and Mary Hundley, and paternal grandparents, Arnold and Jackie Jackson.
For many years, Shad dedicated his time and energy to his work at ARC Industries. His passion for puzzles, cartoons, and car rides brought joy to his life and those around him. Shad's enthusiasm for sports led him to participate in the Special Olympics, where he excelled in both track and basketball.
What truly defined Shad was his boundless love for people. He never met a stranger and greeted everyone with open arms, offering hugs and kisses freely. His kindness and warmth created lasting connections wherever he went.
Shad was a beloved resident of the Goodwill home, where he found comfort and care. His presence brightened the lives of his fellow residents and caregivers alike.
Though Shad may no longer be with us in person, his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. His memory will be cherished forever.
Rest in peace, dear Shad. You will be dearly missed, but your light will continue to shine brightly through the memories you've left behind.
