Thomas R. Kelly

Thomas R. Kelly, 70, of Grove City passed away Thursday, February 17, 2022 at Mount Carmel Grove City. Tom was born in Marietta, OH to the late Robert and Mary Carolyn (née Hoff) Kelly. Tom graduated from Marietta High School and attended The Ohio State University. He was the owner of the Tom Kelly Agency and was a State Farm agent for 46 years. Tom had a love for his family and going "all in" when he committed to something whether it was annual ice fishing trips to Minnesota, skiing in Colorado, boating, camping, or even owning his own racehorses. Creating memories and traditions were important to him. He loved to cook, especially smoke meat and will be remembered for his famous ribs. Tom had a very quick wit that was accompanied by a great sense of humor. He had a tremendous memory and knew where everything was at any time. Tom is survived by his wife of nearly 40 years, Rebecca Kelly; children Laura (Austin) Hansford, Thomas Robert (Melissa) Kelly II, and Jennifer (Stephen) Lyons; grandchildren Andrew, Hailey, and Lucas Hansford, and Baby Boy Lyons on the way; brothers Mark (Vickie) and Scott (Michelle) Kelly; sister Beth Kelly; aunt Janet Bowles; and many nieces and nephews. Tom's family will receive friends 2-5 PM Sunday, February 27 at Schoedinger Grove City 4242 Hoover Rd (Hoover Rd at Kingston Ave).
