Born in 1935, Bill was the beloved son of the late Joseph and Evelyn (Wilson) Youngs. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Patricia Youngs, whom he met while working at Westinghouse. Their lifelong partnership was filled with love, adventure, and devotion. He was also preceded in death by his grandson, Austin Youngs, brother, Jim Youngs, sister, Peggy (Charles) Evilsizer.
Bill is survived by his son, Mark (Christine) Youngs; siblings, John R. (Cathay) Youngs, Kathi Richards; and many cherished extended family members and friends.
A proud graduate of Urbana Local High School and Franklin University, Bill built a fulfilling and impactful career. After serving as a foreman at Bron-Shoe, he followed his passion and founded Youngs Tax Service, where he worked as a dedicated CPA for many years.
Bill lived life fully and energetically. He and Patricia shared many joyful travels, especially during Christmas trips to Phoenix—where opening presents was followed by swimming in the sunshine. They loved visiting Las Vegas, the Grand Canyon, and Sedona, and often made peaceful getaways to Amish Country. Bill’s zest for life was matched by his competitive spirit—he played basketball well into his 80s, enjoyed boating and water skiing, and never passed up a good game of euchre with family.
A longtime member of Grove City United Methodist Church, Bill will be remembered for his warmth, wit, and unwavering dedication to his family, friends, and community.
