Ariel Castro

Ariel was a very active member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in Port Arthur. He was a musician, playing many different instruments. Ariel enjoyed playing baseball and riding horses. He was most of all a family man. Ariel was loved by his community.

Survivors include his wife, Rosa Castro Ramos of Port Arthur; daughters, Angela Castro and Marcela Castro, both of Port Arthur; sons, Jesus Ariel Castro, Jose Alberto Castro, and Juan Angel Castro, all of Port Arthur; sisters, Lucelva Castro-Cano and her husband, Jose, of Uvalde and Martha Schmidt and her husband, Lloyd, of Markesan, Wisconsin; brothers, David Castro and his wife, Laura, and Ramiro Castro, Jr. and his wife, Sandra, all of Uvalde, and Joel Castro and his wife, Sylvia, of Ripon, Wisconsin; parents, Martha Martinez and Ramiro Castro; and many nieces and nephews.

A gathering of Mr. Castro’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with his Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, January 12, 2017, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 13, 2017, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 3648 Sgt. Lucien Adams Boulevard, Port Arthur, with his interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves.

El martes 10 de enero el Sr. Ariel Castro paso a mejor vida a los 45 años. Residente de Puerto Arturo, Texas nacido en Morelos, Coah. México el día 14 de junio de 1971, hijo del Sr. Ramiro Castro y la Sra. Martha Martinez de Castro.

La música fue su pasión, la guitarra era su mejor manera de expresarse, tocaba diferentes instrumentos; siempre fue muy entregado a su parroquia, Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe en Puerto Arturo, Texas; disfrutaba de béisbol, montar a caballo, y era muy dedicado a su familia y a la comunidad.

Le sobreviven: su esposa, Rosa Castro Ramos; sus hijas, Ángela y Marcela Castro; sus hijos: Jesús Ariel, José Alberto, y Juan Angel Castro, todos de Puerto Arturo TX; hermanas: Lucelva Castro-Cano y su esposo José de Uvalde TX, Martha Schmidt y su esposo Lloyd de Markesan, que residen en Wisconsin; hermanos: David Castro y su esposa Laura ambos residentes de Uvalde TX. Ramiro Castro, Jr. y su esposa Sandra también de Uvalde TX, Joel Castro y su esposa Sylvia, residente de Ripon, Wisconsin; padres Martha Martinez y Ramiro Castro; y sus queridos sobrinos y sobrinas.

El Rosario será el jueves 12 de enero a las 6:00pm en Broussard’s Mortuary: 505 North 12th Street, Nederland TX.

Misa de cuerpo presente se celebrará el viernes 13 de enero a las 2:00pm en la Parroquia de Nuestra señora de Guadalupe: 3648 Sgt. Lucien Adams Blvd, Port Arthur TX, seguido de la procesión al cementerio Greenlawn Memorial Park, en Groves TX.
