Denise Michalk

Denise Marlene Ardoin Michalk, 58, of Groves, Texas passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2011 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 27, 1953 to Nelda Kelley Ardoin and Doug Ardoin in Orange, Texas. She has been a resident of Groves for 36 years. Denise retired from Nederland Independent School District as a ninth grade science teacher after 14 years of service. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Groves.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 from 5 PM to 8 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at St. Paul Lutheran Church with Rev. Richard Turner, officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Clayton Thompson.

She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Don Michalk of Groves, Texas, her daughters, Kelley Wueller and husband Andrew of Port Neches, Texas Lauren Rodriguez and husband Josh of Nederland, Texas, her son, Jeremy Michalk and wife Grace of Lumberton, Texas, three grandchildren, Jeremy Michalk, Jr., Luke Wueller and Griffin Rodriguez along with her sister, Kim Ardoin of Beaumont, Texas.
