Donald Buckner Sr.

This is the day that the Lord has made” on November 11, 1951 God blessed Hamilton and Dorothy Buckner with a beautiful baby boy, whom they would name Donald Ray Buckner. On April 9, 2016. Our heavenly father called Donald’s name and he answered the call to go up a little higher.

Donald Ray was a proud graduate of Lincoln High School class of 1970.

He leaves to cherish his memory a loving and devoted wife of 38 years, Linda Reed Buckner, his children, Emanule Fontenot (Beaumont, TX), Tara Clark (Fort Worth, TX), Bianca (Norman) Dixon (Port Arthur, TX), Stephen Jackson (Atlanta, GA), Dawndre (Grant Bazile) Chaney(Groves, TX), Donnie (Ashley) Jackson (Port Arthur, TX), and Brandy (Jonathon) Zeno (Port Arthur, TX), father, Hamilton Buckner (Port Arthur, TX), three sisters, Yvonne Howard and Sedonia Deans (Port Arthur, TX) and Caroll Moore-Hall (Columbia, SC), brother Cleveland (Annie) Richard (Morganza, LA), special brother James (Caroline) Simien (Port Arthur, TX), 22 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, along with a host of other relative and friends.

Services for Donald Ray will be held on Saturday April 16, 2016, 11:00 a.m. Rock Island Missionary Baptist Church. Viewing will begin 9 a.m. Entombment following at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Services entrusted to Hannah Funeral Home, Inc.
