

Lester Charles (L. C.) Boudreaux, 88, of Port Arthur, passed away Saturday, January 17, 2015. He was born November 10, 1926 in Port Arthur. L. C. willingly served his country as a Navy Engineman during World War II. He worked as "Zip" for Gulf States Utilities for 35 years beginning as a grunt, to lineman then troubleshooter. He will always be remembered as a hardworking, fun loving husband, father, grandfather, patriot and friend.
He was always busy working on garage engineered projects, leading fun outings and helping others in need. He spoke fondly of the many joys of his life: his family, the TJ Class of 1946, GSU buddies, Harmony Exporters Barbershop, Alamanders Square Dancing, Cajun French Music Assoc., Las Acadians du Texas, all his dance partners at Larry's French Market, bowling leagues, camping & fishing buddies and last but not least his handcrafted mechanical critters, the Lonesome Bayou Band. He so enjoyed performing his Cajun music program at community events, nursing homes and anywhere he could make people happy, dance and enjoy life.
He is preceded in death by the love of his life Dorothy Herrin Boudreaux and parents Preston and Mable Boudreaux. Survived by his children, Janis & Don Terrell of Groves, Mark & Susan Boudreaux of Sulphur, LA; grandchildren, Delanea & Richard Tallent, Stacy & Jared Peoples, Joni and Paul Copty, Megan & Brandon Shaver, Jared Boudreaux, and Beau & Amanda Terrell; nephews, Wayne Nance, Danny Nance and David Young; ten great grandchildren.
The family extends a special thanks to the staff of Lake Arthur Place and Gentiva Hospice for years of dedicated assistance.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Sunday, January 18, 2015 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm in the Chapel of Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 19, 2015 at 11:00am in the Chapel of Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves.
