Marie was born February 17, 1928 to Henry Sawyer and Ellenor Hassell Sawyer. She was a homemaker and lifelong area resident. She was also a member of the United Methodist Temple.
Marie is survived by her husband of 66 years, Art Spencer of Port Arthur, TX; daughter, Susan Ferrell and husband Mike of Hawaii; three sons, Mike Spencer and wife Julie of Port Neches, TX, Tim Spencer and wife Charlotte of Gulf Breeze, FL, Jon Spencer of Fort Walton, FL; brother, Jack Sawyer of Kansas; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be private.
