Mary retired as a school teacher with over 50 years of service in several different counties, Hockley, Collin, Hunt and Jefferson. Mary earned a Masters Degree in Education.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents and husband of 49 years, Chris Guy. She is survived by her daughter; Pat Thurston of Missouri City, TX; grandchildren, Luke Thurston and Mary Kate Thurston; step-daughters, Betty Backer of Blue Ridge, TX, Sandra Conkle of Dallas, TX; sisters, Willie Terry of Conroe, TX, Imogene Longbotham of Baytown, TX.
Graveside service will be on Monday, March 16, 2015, at 11:00 A.M. at Greenlawn Memorial Park with Rev. Timothy Dinger officiating.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to American Cancer Society or MD Anderson Cancer Center.
