Ruby May Hardy

October 31, 1928 - January 14, 2013

Ruby May Hardy, 84, of Nederland, Texas passed away January 14, 2013 at Christus-St. Mary Hospital in Port Arthur. She was born in Port Arthur, Texas on October 31, 1928 to the late Leed J. and Eunice Mouton Hardy. She was a teacher and taught at C. O. Wilson.

She attended Sam Houston State Teachers College and graduated from St. James High School in Port Arthur. Ruby was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland on Friday, January 18, 2013 at 10:00 a.m., Father David Placette celebrant. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 17th with a rosary being recited at 6:00 p.m.

Ruby is survived by her brothers, L. J. Hardy and wife, Joy of Nederland and Gene Hardy and wife, Mary of Port Arthur; 10 nieces and nephews; 25 great nieces and nephews; and 6 great-great nieces and nephews.
