William F. Hays

William served in the U.S. Navy and was a retired car salesman for Coleman Bernard Cadillac. He enjoyed being outdoors and watching football.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Belva Jane Hays; his parents; a brother, Jack C. Hays; and 2 sisters, Anna Jo Berry and Dorothy Bass.

His survivors include 3 sons, Ronnie Hayes of Groves, Cary Hayes of Port Neches, Jim Hayes of Bridge City; 3 daughters, Carolyn Johnson of Crowley, LA, Marilyn Newman of Port Neches, Liz Reeves of Bridge City; 2 brothers, Jimmy Hays of Colorado Springs, Alvin Hays of Port Neches; 2 sisters, Mildred Reeves of Dallas, Aline Holland of Beaumont; 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, October 2, 2011 from 2 to 6 p.m. at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home, Port Arthur.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 3, 2011 in the Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves.
