

In her 83rd year Anne died peacefully in her sleep at home in Port Elgin on June 6, 2014. Beloved wife of the late Duilio (Pio) Sanvido. Loving mother of Mary Anne (Eric Przybylowski), Michael, John (Debbie), and Andy (Jackie). Dear grandma of Stephen, Adam, Danny, Sarah, Cheri Anne, Rachel, Danielle, Nicole, and Lauren; step-grandma to Nathan, Vanessa, and Candice. Great-grandmother to nine great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents Mary and Joseph Ruczek, daughter-in-law Mary Ellen, brother-in-laws Joseph Nemeth, Lino, Dino, John Sanvido, and sisters-in-law Olga Phillips and Angie Zadro. Survived by her sister Helen Nemeth, and sisters-in-law Mary Schell, Anna Maria Sanvido, Barbara Sanvido, and Marion Sanvido (Melnic), and many nieces and nephews. Anne was born in Guelph where she lived, worked and raised her family for most of her life. She was a lifelong member of St. Joseph’s Parish and a member of the Catholic Women’s League. She will be remembered with love for her gentleness, kindness and devotion to family and friends. The past five years she lived in Port Elgin with her sister Helen, enjoying walks and sunsets along the harbour. She will be missed by many in the community of Faith Maple Estates. She also spent much of her time reading, baking, knitting and travelling with her sister and daughter. According to Anne’s wishes, a private interment of her ashes will be held at Marymount Cemetery. A celebration mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Church, 409 Paisley Rd., Guelph, on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at 10:00a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to Sister Christine Welcome Drop-In Centre in Guelph, Hospice Wellington, or St. Joseph’s Church Building Fund would be appreciated by the family.
