Born in San Marco dei Cavoti (BN) Italy. Antonia bravely immigrated to Canada in 1959 with her husband Angelo and daughter, Ingrid in search of a better life for her family-bringing with her not only courage and determination, but the traditions, values and warmth of Italian roots. She was a gifted cook, a generous soul, and the heart of our family. She dedicated her life to nurturing those she loved. Her door was always open; her table was always full, and her arms always welcoming. She passed on stories, recipes, wisdom and unconditional love that will live on in all of us.
She was truly one of a kind-strong until the very end, beautiful inside and out and endlessly devoted to her family. Her resilience, her laughter, her smile and her quiet presence will be missed more than words can express.
She leaves behind her children, Ingrid(Martin Alan), Lillian and John, Grandchildren Cynthia(Jason), Mark(Carrie), Benjamin(Erika) and Samuel(Caryn), Great grandchildren Ainslee, Kayden, Finnigen and little Madeline-"Pucinella" as well as many friends and extended family who cherished her dearly.
We would like to thank the staff of the Ellington Retirement Community at the Elliott, the Guelph General Hospital staff in Emergency and 4-East and Hospice Wellington for their compassionate care and kindness during her final days.
"Riposa in pace, amata mamma. Il tuo amore continuerà a guidarci ogni giorno. Ci hai insegnato l'amore, la forza e la gentilezza. Che il tuo spirito trovi la pace che merita, circondata dall'amore eterno. Ora riposa tra gli angeli. "
Rest in peace, beloved mother. Your love will continue to guide us everyday. You taught us love, strength and kindness. May your spirit find the peace it deserves surrounded by eternal love. Now rest among the angels.
