

Basil Joseph John Krusky was born on April 20, 1927 and died peacefully March 1, 2023, in his 96th year. Basil married Evelyn Bond (deceased 2013) on September 14, 1951 and they spent sixty-two wonderful years together.
Basil is the proud father of seven children; William Krusky (Heidi), Carolann Brett (Noel), Karen Holliday (Rob - deceased 2018), Joseph Krusky (deceased May 4, 1958), Mark Krusky (Linda), Rosemary Newbigging (deceased 2022) (Mark), and Matthew Krusky (Mary).
Loving grandfather to twenty-one grandchildren; Erin Krusky, John Krusky, Lucas Krusky, Jennifer Bino, John Bino, Adam Holliday, Rachel Holliday, Sarah Krusky, Kate Krusky, Samantha Krusky, Annette Krusky, Mary Krusky, Joshua Newbigging, Jessica Newbigging, Emma Newbigging, Michaela Newbigging, Dayna Krusky, Jesse Krusky, Emily Krusky, Ethan Krusky, and Liam Krusky.
Basil is the great-grandfather to Selena Hotsonyame, Sadie Hotsonyame, Scott Wilson,
Anna Wilson, James Ryall, Imogen Grace Holliday, Waylon Lillie, Bennett Garcea, and Rosemary Garcea.
Basil is survived by two siblings Mary Fowlie, Valerie Cutting and sister-in-law,
Dorothy Krusky *. Predeceased by siblings and their spouses, Raymond Krusky (Winnifred), Ruth Kerr (John), Geraldine Withers (Ken), Dorothy Barrett (Bill), Jack Krusky (Dorothy*), and Allan Krusky (Hilda).
Basil worked as an electrician throughout his career and retired at age sixty-two. Basil enjoyed travel with his wife, excursions to Sauble Beach with the family, following the Guelph Storm, and praying for a miracle as a loyal Toronto Maple Leaf fan. Dad enjoyed music, dancing, and entertaining friends. Dad always had an extensive vegetable garden that he loved to tend and harvest. Dad prayed his rosary and was a faithful Catholic throughout his life. He trusted in God and his abundant mercy. He was a good man and is at rest with Jesus.
Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, DUBLIN CHAPEL, 252 Dublin Street North, Guelph. Visitation on Monday, March 6, 2023 from 7-9 p.m. Funeral on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at The Basilica of Our Lady Immaculate, Norfolk Street, Guelph. Internment at Marymount Cemetery.
