Basil Edward Pringlemeir

Passed away peacefully with his family by his side, after a courageous battle with cancer, on Tuesday, July 6, 2021. Edward Pringlemeir age 73 years, was the son of the late Frank and Gertrude Pringlemeir. He was the dear brother of Frank and his wife Diane Karn and Carol Hart and her husband David all of Guelph. Edward was the loved uncle of Dwayne and Melissa and her husband William Bellrose. He will be remembered by Jeff and Martha Karn and their children Sarah and Lucas.

Ed was a long time employee with Schnurr Electric and was an active member of the Historical Automobile Society of Canada.

Ed’s family would like to express their sincere thanks to the Bayshore Nurses, especially Catrina and to the Care Partners PSW’s, especially Getachew and Mike for all their wonderful care. Also, a special thank you to Dr. P. Spadafora and Dr. R. Lostracco.

Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St. Guelph where the family receive their friends on Sunday, July 11, 2021 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Due to Covid-19 restrictions guests are required to RSVP their attendance at the visitation and Mass on the funeral home website or call the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Church 409 Paisley Rd., Guelph on Monday, July 12, 2021 at 10 a.m. Guests are invited to live stream the Funeral Mass by clicking on the link on the funeral home website. Interment in Marymount Cemetery, Guelph. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the St. Joseph’s Church Building fund would be appreciated by the family.
