Carmen Boyle

BOYLE, Carmen – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Mom, Carmen Boyle (nee Sorbara), at age 84, on Wednesday, July 10th, 2013 at the Guelph General Hospital with her family by her side. Carmen was the dearly loved wife of the late Daniel Boyle (2006) and the beloved daughter of the late Sam and Concetta Sorbara. She was the loving and devoted mother of Danny (Linda), Ann Croft (Joel), Nancy Goemans (Gary), and Mary Rice (Jamie). Survived by her sisters Nancy Tersigni (Gino), and Eleanor Keating (Bob) and predeceased by her brothers Jim, Lanny, Manny, and her sisters Violet Wilkie, and Vicky Campbell. Nana was cherished by her grandchildren Melissa, Patrick, Lindsay, Adam, Kristen, Rachel, Tyson, Averie, Haily, Griffin, Kennedy, Hunter, Jack, Lane, Taya, Dani, Mike, Dave, Kevin, Jennifer and Brandt and she was a beloved Great-Nana of 9 great-grandchildren. Carmen was the much loved aunt of many nieces and nephews. Carmen’s husband, her children, family and friends were her passion and delight. Mom was filled with compassion, took an interest in others, and was blessed with a great sense of humor. Carmen was loved by many! A very special thank you to all the staff of Retirement Assisted at Riverside Glen Retirement Community for their care and kindness and to Holy Rosary Parish. Resting at Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, where family will receive friends on Sunday, July 14, 2013 from 7-9 p.m. A Vigil will be held at the funeral home on Sunday at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Rosary Church, 175 Emma St., Guelph on Monday, July 15, 2013, at 11 a.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society or Make a Wish Foundation Canada would be greatly appreciated by the family.
