Passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, at her cozy little apartment in Guelph on Tuesday, February 22, 2022. As a result of a tragic accident, Cathy succumbed to her injuries. Cathy Goegan at age 59, was the beloved daughter of Luigia and the late Aldo Goegan (2011). She was the loving sister of Carol Burnham (Dan), Aldo Goegan Jr (Martin), John Goegan (Consuelo) and cherished twin sister of Carla Goegan. Cathy was the proud aunt of Nicole (Johnny), Alicia (Michael), Ryan, Laura, Amanda and the late Eric (2012) and adoring great aunt to Sadie, Jack and Winston.
Cathy's greatest joy in life was to be all together with her family. She was the best companion to her Mamma and took such good care of her. She was so proud of her independence, her job, and all her accomplishments in sports over the many years. She was always happy and made everyone feel so special with her warm hugs and beautiful smile. Her zest for life was contagious. She was the best daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend you could ever wish for. She radiated pure joy and loved unconditionally.
Heaven became even more beautiful with a guardian angel like her watching over us. Life won't ever be the same without her.
Our sincere gratitude to Jean, Krista, Lola, Pam and Cassandra (Key Rehab Services) for their tireless efforts and for taking such great care of Cathy.
