Doreen Jean Kerr Manuel

It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Doreen Jean Manuel on Wednesday, July 4, 2018. Doreen passed away peacefully at St. Joseph's Health Centre, Guelph, with family by her side. Doreen Jean (Kerr) Manuel, in her 72 year, was the beloved wife of 50 years to Kenneth Richard Manuel, the best Mum ever to Julia and Paul (Doris), and the cherished Nan to Bethan, Emma and Chelsea. Doreen fought a five year battle with cancer and did it with a smile and no complaints. She always had a kind word and put everyone else's needs before her own. Doreen is survived by two sisters Joyce (Len) Williams and Linda (late Brian) Williams. She was predeceased by her parents Robert and Maud Kerr and her brother, Robert Kerr, and her sister, Ann Martin. A special thank you to the staff on Whispering Oaks unit, SJHC, who provided excellent care to Doreen and kindness and support to our family. Also thank you to "the ladies" who assisted in Doreen's care.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Friday, July 13th, 2018 at the Army, Navy and Air Force Veterans' Club, 32 Gordon St., Guelph from 5-9 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of one's choice would be appreciated by the family.
