Doris Beer

BEER, Doris Louise- Peacefully with her loving family by her side on July 4th, 2013 at the Guelph General Hospital in her 93rd year. Predeceased by her beloved husband Stan (1995), after 53 wonderful years of marriage. Loving Mom to Beverley Howard (Chris) and Robert. Predeceased by her daughter Barbara Ann (1959). Cherished Grandma to Jodie Worley (Jean-Paul), Barbara Taylor (Matt McNabb) and Sarah Beer (fiancée Lee Brittles). Adoring Great-Grandma 'D' to Jacob Taylor and Cameron Worley. She will be sadly missed by her many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including daughter-in-law Elizabeth Beer and close personal friend Hanz Markov. Doris was a long time golfer and curler at the St. George's Golf and Country Club, Islington. A special thank you to Wendy Brown at Harcourt Memorial United Church, Guelph, all the staff at Wellington Park Terrace, Guelph and to the doctors and nurses at the Guelph General Hospital, including Dr. Bier, Dr. Brodovsky and Dr. Shafir. Arrangements have been entrusted to Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Guelph. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life for Doris will take place on Thursday, July 18, 2013 at The Simple Alternative, 1535 S. Gateway Rd., Mississauga (Dixie Rd./Gateway Rd.), Phone No. (289)805-4109 at 11 a.m. visitation will be held prior to the service from 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice in memory of Doris and Stan would be greatly appreciated by the family.
