A devoted husband and father, beloved Grandpa, and compassionate friend, Doug carried a quiet strength and a deep love for those closest to him. He adored his grandchildren and found endless joy in spending time with them, always ready with a joke, a story, or a helping hand.
Doug was a lifelong sports fan and golf enthusiast. His dry wit and perfectly timed sarcasm made him the kind of person everyone wanted around. Doug was known for his tool collection and his ability to fix anything and everything. There wasn’t much he couldn’t repair, whether it was a broken faucet or a bad day. His travels took him far and wide, but no matter where he went, he brought warmth, wisdom, and a touch of humour with him.
Doug was the kind of man who would drop everything to help someone in need. He will be profoundly missed by all who were lucky enough to know him.
Beloved husband to Denise, loving father to Lisa and Kathleen (Thomas), grandfather to Liam and Evan, brother to Deborah and Donna. Doug will be fondly remembered by extended family and friends. He is predeceased by his parents Rupert and Margaret Reynolds.
A private gathering will take place.
As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations to Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
