Folco Di Ruzza

Di RUZZA, Folco - Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Tuesday, August 25, 2009. Folco was the beloved husband of Santina (Leodardi); proud and loving father of Aldo and his wife Patti, Nadia and her husband Tony (Mora). Loving Nonno to Audriana and Nicholas Di Ruzza and Katie and Leanna Mora. Dear brother of Tomasina (Tasciotti), Filomena (Fabrizio), Lizetta (Fabrizio) all of Italy, Gaetano and his wife Anna Di Ruzza of Guelph. Beloved uncle to Rina and Bruce McDonald, Vince Di Ruzza, Silvana Castaldi and Jane Ellenton, Ryan McDonald and Melissa Moore, Michael McDonald and Anita McDonald as well as many nieces and nephews in Italy. Folco was 89 years old, born on August 10, 1920 he was the son of the late Caterina and Vincenzo Di Ruzza, predeceased by his sister Pasqualina Di Ruzza, Genoveffa Castaldi and brother Antonio Di Ruzza. He immigrated to Canada from Italy in 1950 and worked for many years, until his retirement, at the Acton Tannery. He was a kind and generous man who found joy with his family and in his much loved garden. Special thanks to the Guelph General Hospital Emergency Department and CCAC. Visitation will be held at Gilbert MacIntrye and Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel , 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph on Friday, August 28, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Vigil for Folco will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 2 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 409 Paisley Rd., Guelph on Saturday, August 29, 2009 at 11 a.m. Entombment, Our Lady Immaculate Mausoleum, Marymount Cemetery, Guelph.
