Francesco (Frank) Carpino, September 8, 1948 - April 20, 2013. It is with great sadness that the family of Frank Carpino announces his sudden passing on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at his home in Florida. He was the beloved husband of May-Lis, loving father of Tarra (Tom Van Milligen), Jason, Christopher and Michael Carpino. He was the loving Nonno of six grandchildren: Isabella, Joshua, Sophia, Marlie, Amelia and Sienna. Predeceased by parents Maria (Tiano) and Giovanni Carpino, survived by sister Teresa (Fritz Marthaler), brother Ross Carpino (Debbie) and sisters Mirella (Rick Reynen) and Lina Carpino-McPhee. He was the loving son-in-law of Kirsten and Sverre Storetvedt (predeceased), and brother-in-law to John Storetvedt. He will also be sadly missed by Bernardo Carpino (Helga McKay), as well as many nieces and nephews. Frank passionately devoted his professional life to Linamar, growing with the company from a Machine Operator to the Vice President of Manufacturing. More than just a career, Frank considered the members of Linamar to be his second family. Outside of work, Frank enjoyed spending time with his family, as well as many hours in his garden and carrying on the traditions passed down by his father. Frank was fortunate to spend his last days at the house he loved in Florida, with his best friends Camillo and Filomena Piccoli and the love of his life May-Lis, doing what Frank loved best - raising a glass and reminiscing on good times. The Carpino family wishes to extend their appreciation to everyone at Linamar for going above and beyond to help the family through this difficult time. Friends are invited to meet with the family at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St. on Saturday, April 27 and Sunday, April 28, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A Vigil will be held on Sunday at 7:30 p.m. Mass will be celebrated at Holy Rosary Church, 175 Emma St., Guelph on Monday, April 29, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Entombment Marymount Cemetery.
