Frank was the beloved husband of the late Rose Dawes (2020), with whom he shared 73 years of marriage. Loving father of Mary Riddell and her late husband Andy, Larry Dawes and his wife Pauline, and the late Frank Dawes Jr.
Predeceased by his parents, Vera and James Dawes, and by his brother Vincent Dawes (Florence) and sister Margaret Hammer (Harold).
Frank will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, including Tina and Avery, as well as by his sisters-in-law Theresa Bruder and Marlyn Seifried, and many nieces and nephews.
Frank was truly a jack of all trades. He was a hardworking and talented man who built two homes with his own hands and was known for his many skills, generosity, and willingness to help others.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff on Emma Floor at Riverside Glen for the compassion and kindness shown to Frank during his time there.
A private interment will take place at Marymount Catholic Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated by the family.
